Restaurant Oikos

Today there was another meeting at Oikos in Hanover. I only knew the restaurant from driving past and was very pleasantly surprised. The ambience offers something for almost everyone, a mix of different styles. The first thing I noticed was the familiar, very friendly nature of the service staff. The menu is not very extensive, but the selection is still not easier. There are some complete dishes, but for the most part you can put together the components yourself from a delicious selection. The service staff will be happy to help you choose and also give recommendations. Each of us chose a different starter and main course, and we also ordered Mediterranean vegetables and lemon potatoes from the oven. At the end everyone chose a dessert. There is a different, light, fresh Greek cuisine here, with interesting combinations. I was very impressed with the food and the service and it definitely won't be my last time there.

Unfortunately, our first experience at this restaurant was not so nice. We were really looking forward to Greek. My friend, dissatisfied with an empty stomach and less money, went to the nearest store only to finally get his fill. My friend's portion was really WAY too little, the vegetables weren't seasoned at all, so even I, at 1.59m tall, wouldn't have been full. Unfortunately it was completely overpriced for “this” meal (pork chop). We addressed this, but unfortunately you didn't accommodate us. We will therefore never eat there again and will not recommend it. A pity. The service itself, ESPECIALLY the nice waitress, was very personable and friendly!
